Google Leaks New Gmail App
Whether by intent or accident Google leaked the yet-to-be-released version of the Gmail App for Android during one the Google I/O 2013 sessions. In a slide during the session "Structure in Android App Design", one slide showing Gmail had a strangely different look to it. The Nav-bar across the bottom of the screen that normally contains actions like search, new message, tags, and refresh, was missing and was replaced by a slide-in drawer from the right. Several other features appear to have been given a minor touch-up, such as the date font and the size of the stars.
A way that could assist one in determining how this is verifiable is by the very slim three vertical dots just to the left of the Gmail logo. These same three dots can be found in the most recent update to the Google Drive App, but are not in the prior version of either app.
