I'm not shocked that a porn app has been created for Google Glass, and not shocked either that Google banned it. What is shocking is that it's taken this long for a porn app to appear. Either to be the first or just to be recognized, company MiKandi has made its presence known this week by debuting the app "Tits & Glass".
It would seem that Google Glass is so new and so special that nothing, even slightly offensive will be allowed in it. Google would seem to be walking on eggshells enough already with Lambda Labs' facial recognition app. Or maybe the Federal Government is finally wising up to all the new tech innovations? Unlike the confusion about electric cars being slow or related to gross over-pollution, pornography is not easily misconstrued.
Although Google may ban any "official" porn applications, the invention of the first-person, barely-there, wearable computer is a big change for the porn industry. The whole concept of Google Glass conjures memories of the film Strange Days.
