Flashback: Four Years Ago Today, T-Mobile Introduced The G1

Four years ago today, I purchased my first Android Phone aka the Google G1 or Google Phone (HTC Dream).  I had been waiting since the debut of the Apple iPhone for this Google alternative.  Actually I was awaiting a phone that was somewhat independent of iron fist of the carriers (which I have still not been able to escape).  T-mobile has however come to be less like a mob boss and more like an stern father-figure (Mein ganzes Leben war Dienst an Volk und Vaterland.).
